Summer Research Internship Program

The final results of the CCS Summer Research Internship Program 2006

We congratulate the candidates who have been selected for the internship. The Centre for Civil Society is a place where you can learn tremendously and ignite your imagination – and help change the world. For the others who have not made it, the Summer Internship Program is extremely competitive and it is difficult to accommodate all. As our internships are open through out the year, interested candidates can send their revised application for some other time of the year.

The Centre for Civil Society thanks all the shortlisted applicants for their cooperation through the selection process. The objective of the selection process was to select candidates from the 206 applicants who could contribute a publishable research paper by the end of their internship tenure. The selection parameters were based on factors of sustained enthusiasm for field research; clarity and rigor of thought; attention to details and communication skills. The interview panel consisted of a Research Associate, a Research Fellow and two former interns of the Summer Internship Program. 

The present list is for only those candidates who have applied for the months of May-July. Those who have applied for the months of June and later will be sent separate notifications. 

All selected candidates will be sent confirmation emails. Please confirm your participation by April 15. Upon confirmation, we will send a formal internship contract. On submission of the contract, the candidates will be provided the orientation material. Candidates who are on the waiting list will be contacted by April 23 for any available internships.
