DELHI
GOVERNMENT PROVIDES A COPY OF THE DELHI CDP AFTER AN APPEAL AGAINST
THE PREVIOUS RTI RESPONSE
In an appeal filed by Centre for Civil Soceity, the Delhi
Government has provided a copy of the City Development Plan
(CDP) for Delhi. At the press
conference on 16 March 2007, civil society was shocked at the
non-transparency in the making of the Delhi CDP. Under JNNURM, it
is mandatory that the government conducts consultations with all
stakeholders on the City Development Plan. How can this be done
when the CDP itself is not public? After filing an appeal,
CCS has been able to procure a copy of the Delhi
City Development Plan.
