Jeevika is a search
of documentaries that focus on legal and regulatory restrictions, bureaucratic
processes as well as social and cultural norms and religious practices
that prevent or constrain people from earning an honest living in the
vocation of their choice.
The response to request for entries for Jeevika 2005 has been overwhelming.
As against 60 entries last year, this year saw over 85 entries from students
and professional film makers from various countries including India, Pakistan,
Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh and Serbia. 34 of these entries are student
productions.
The Screening Committee short-listed 11 films in student and 10 in general
