From The Editor:

Go to www.google.cn and do an image search for 'tiananmen'. And then do the same on www.google.com. Ignoring the fact that Chinese wouldn't care to Google in English, the fact remains that the power of propaganda is far reaching even in the bits and bytes world.

To be in the illusion that we live in a world of free speech and free expression is far from true. I am happy to believe that eCatalyst has been a truly 'free' medium of expression. We at eCatalyst edit, but never attempt to censor. Moreover, encouraged by the literary contributions and the enthusiasm displayed by the readers of the e-newsletter, eCatalyst ,would also be available in its offline, newsprint avatar as 'Liberty Log'. Of course we will try and bear novelty for the subsequent issues of both these publications. Rejoice! for another platform is around for expressing your ideas and keeping in touch with the CCS circuit. Cheers to the whole team which was instrumental in the production and conceptualisation of eCatalyst and now, Liberty Log.

I would personally like to thank Mana (Consultant, Programs and Development) and Swati(Associate,Youth Programs) and all the literary contributors.

Read on and do tell us what you liked or loathed or what you would like to read in forthcoming issues. Or a better option would be to send us your stuff at ccsecatalyst@yahoo.com. If you blog on Liberty or Liberatarian issues, do send us your blog link, we would love to add you on our regular blog roll, which we are in the process of compiling. This Independence Day, the voices shall rise in
unison--Cheers to freedom!
